Prices can range from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars, but generally a 1-2 minute on-location video production falls in the range of $2,000-$5,000. If you have a project in mind, schedule a short creative planning meeting with one of our creative directors and we’ll provide a custom proposal for your campaign.

The time it takes to produce a video depends on the type, length, and complexity of the video. An in-studio video can take a few days to produce, and a complex animation or documentary can take several months. Edge of Cinema’s average turnaround for a 1-2 minute on-location video is 2-3 weeks from the date of production. Edge of Cinema also offers a rush service, where our team will work nights and weekends to ensure your video is complete for your deadline.

Pre-production is the planning phase of video production. After a collaborating creative meeting, we’ll write your script, shot list, production schedule, cast actors, scout and book locations, and make sure we have everything we need for a successful day of production. For animated videos, we also produce style frames and storyboards to ensure the final animation will follow your vision for the project. Pre-production is the most important stage of video production, and Edge of Cinema specializes in making sure your video’s messaging is designed to reach your goals, impact your target audience, and most importantly generate results and a return on investment.

Production is the filming phase of video production, which involves capturing your video footage and audio. Edge of Cinema’s team will follow your script and shot list to capture every element of the video (and usually some additional impromptu content). Our cinematography team will set up lights and motion camera rigs for each shot, giving your video an elite and cinematic look, and our audio team will focus on capturing clean and clear audio. The director and producer will manage the set during production, ensuring we capture everything we need while also making sure our talent gives their best performance. We encourage all of our clients to be on set for production. It’s fun, and you’ll get to see the making of filmmaking in action.

Post-production is the editing phase of video production, which involves tasks such as color grading, sound design, visual effects, and rendering. Our editing team will gather all of the footage captured in production, and following the script and shot list, they’ll assemble the video for your review. To keep your video’s branding in sync with your existing marketing efforts, we ask for branding guides and high-quality logos ahead of time. Edge of Cinema includes two rounds of subjective edits in our video production packages, but often with our collaborative creative process, we hit the nail on the head on the first cut.
