Our wedding videography filmmakers specialize in capturing the story of your wedding day. Your job is the celebrate the biggest day of your life, and our job is to make sure every magic moment is captured with cinematic style. We offer a single package for wedding coverage, with the ability to customize it based on your vision for the final wedding film.

Our base wedding videography package starts at $4,000. This includes all of the coordination and meeting time ahead of your wedding, two videographers for up to 8 hours of coverage, and a 6-10 minute cinematic wedding film. We also offer additional services like engagement story videos that can be shown at the reception, slideshow animations, and real-time event videos (ceremony, toasts, first dance, parent dances).

Edge of Ciema’s Wedding Videographer Process

Consultation

Our first step is to get to know you as a couple and identify the important details of your wedding day. We’d love to meet you in person, but we’re also happy to meet over a video or phone call. We’ll put together a custom proposal for your wedding film, and If you’re interested in working with our videography team, we ask for a 50% deposit to save your date.

Save the Date

Once contracted, we’ll connect with your coordinator and venue to start working out all the logistics and schedule of your wedding day. We want to have a solid game plan for our wedding videographers to follow on the big day. This helps us ensure we capture everything we need to make your cinematic wedding film a timeless memory. We’ll also periodically reach out to our couple to keep them up to date on our progress, which helps us stay on top of changes or additions to the wedding schedule.

Lights, Camera, Action!

When your wedding day arrives, our wedding videography team will generally start with the couple in the morning. Some of the most beautiful footage is captured as our couples get ready with their friends and bridal party. We work around you and the photographer to keep a low profile, but we might ask for a quick moment if we see an opportunity for a fun shot.

Ceremony

When it’s time for the ceremony, we’ll send one of our videographers to the church or venue to set up multiple cameras and prepare audio. We like to have a lav mic on the groom and officiant to ensure clean audio for the video. Often, we’ll use parts of the ceremony as voiceover in the rest of your wedding film. This helps give your film a cinematic feel.

Photo Session

After the ceremony, our team will join your bridal party for photos. This is another area we get some of our most beautiful footage. When we’re coming to the end of photos, we’ll send one of our wedding videographers to the reception to start preparing for toasts and dancing.

Reception

We start filming the reception at cocktail hour. Every reception and venue is different, but it typically flows like this: cocktail hour, intros and first dance, toasts, parent dances, and cake cutting. When the formalities are complete, our team will spend the rest of the night focusing on dancing and your partying guests. Some of the silliest footage is captured in the last few hours of the night, and our team loves to give each guest a turn in the spotlight.

When the night is over, we’ll say a quick goodbye and pack up our equipment.

Editing Your Wedding Film

With hours of beautiful footage, voiceover, toasts, dancing and party footage, it’s time for our editing team to tie everything together into your custom wedding film. We’ll start by selecting royalty-free music for your video, which will allow you to share it on social media without getting a copyright flag or ads put on the video. We’re happy to work with you if you’d like to help choose the songs for your video.

Time to Delivery

Generally, a wedding film takes 6-8 weeks to edit. Once we’ve completed the film, we’ll send an online version for you to review. We’re happy to make revisions if you have anything you’d like to adjust, but we usually get it right on the first cut. Once you’ve given us approval on the final wedding film, we’ll create a custom engraved USB drive and deliver your wedding film. We keep a copy of all our projects for the life of our company, so if you ever lose your drive or your computer crashes, we’re happy to send you another copy.

Extras

Our wedding films are highly cinematic recaps between 8 and 10 minutes. Our goal is to create a film that captures the spirit and magic of your wedding, while keeping it short enough for your friends and family to enjoy watching over and over again. If you’re interested in a longer wedding film, or would like to have a video segment that replays your ceremony or reception formalities in real-time, let us know! We capture all important moments in their entirety, and we’re happy to adjust your package to include extras.
